I’ve been looking forward to presenting this new gallery for a long time. It’s rare to find not only a completely ground-breaking vintage gay porn movie from 1975, but I was also fortunate enough to find a 24 page magazine of photos that goes along with it! A real score!

And why is it ground breaking? It’s a piss movie – exceptionally rare for the mid-1970’s.

But let’s get into even more of the details about why “Recycled Beer” is so unique (and awesome!). First, it’s three nice, clean cut collegiate looking guys. When you normally think of piss videos, you only imagine gruff, nasty pigs, but this boys are sweet.

It starts with two guys necking on the living room floor. The magazine mentions that one guy’s “parents are out of town” and “… they don’t like the friends he’s associating with…” (more on that later). The third guy shows up with a 6 pack of Olympia beer.

Let’s stop here and examine those beer cans. Up until the early 1970’s, beer and soda cans needed a can opener (one hole for drinking, one for air). These Olympia beer cans came with the first wave of “pull tabs” that didn’t require a can opener. It wasn’t till much later that someone figured out a way to keep the pull tab attached to the can after opening.

Also, Olympia and Coors were West Coast-only brands and Coors especially was a highly coveted commodity in Michigan during the 1970’s.  I remember in college a friend through a party specifically because he got along of some rare Olympia beer. (I was not impressed with the taste and didn’t understand the hoopla, but whatever.)

But back to the pissing, most piss movies take place in a grungy location, outdoors or in a bathtub. This movie takes place in a living room with just a blanket on the floor! Can you imagine? And they are not shy about spraying pee in every direction, so how did they get the stench out of that room? And worse yet, what did Mom say when she got home????
