A member of this site posted some nice comments to a recent blog item, and even added a little bit background information we would never have known.
Like I’ve written many times before, the early days of the gay porn industry is still shrouded in mystery. It was developed completely underground on purpose, mostly in order to stay out of jail, coupled with the social pressure of having to stay in the closet for family and employment reasons. But at the same time gay people were becoming liberated, many were dying off too quickly to pass on their personal stories.
Though this particular story is not altogether significant in a broad scale nor uplifting, it’s important to use these tidbits to add more pieces to the puzzle.

The top two pictures are of Jeffrey R. the second picture down from the top getting his balls sucked. Jeffrey was my 2nd lover and so incredibly hot. His body-hair was not dark, as it appears in these pictures, but a medium blond color.
We were two horny guys and had sex at least twice a day. He wanted me to go to the gay baths with him, but I couldn’t get up the nerve. We lived in a ground-floor apartment above Franklin Ave, in Hollywood. Jeffery went by the street-name Jason, but used a different name as a porn-actor. He made at least on feature-length porn film. When the film was released he took me to see it. He was very proud of his scenes in the film which was booked at what was then called (I believe) The Adam and Eve Theatre on Hollywood Blvd. I would love to get a copy of this film, but I cannot remember the name of it. It was shown around 1974/75 and had other gay actors whose names I can’t recall. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.
PS – Jeffrey was beaten and tortured in downtown Los Angeles and died two days later at USC medical center on November 27, 1988. I was so in love with this young man and still miss him today.
