These are just a couple of the groovy ads that ran in old beefcake magazines in the 1950s and 60s for items like skimpy underwear, hair care products and vitamin supplements. I love the one for “masculine” hair spray created by Mr. Bruce.

Sure, these ads are good for a laugh today, but what are they selling in gay men’s magazines today? UNDERWEAR, HAIR CARE PRODUCTS and VITAMIN SUPPLEMENTS!
